Supporting your growth, confidence and unique expression as a coach before & during certification and beyond.
Coaching for Co-Active Coaches
Becoming a Co-Active coach is about so much more than developing new skills. It's an invitation to discover more about yourself, how you show up in the world, and the impact you want to have.
Wherever you are in your Co-Active coaching journey, having your own CPCC coach can be an incredibly valuable investment in YOU.
As a CPCC since 2019 and an ICF-credentialed PCC and mentor coach, I've had the privilege of supporting many Co-Active coaches through certification and beyond. Some have continued working with me for years as they've brought their coaching skills into their businesses, leadership roles, relationships and lives.
One thing I know from this work is that the growth doesn't stop when you receive your certification. In many ways, it's just beginning.
Beyond Certification: Your Next Chapter as a Coach
You've invested in your Co-Active training, developed a whole new set of skills and perspectives, and now you're exploring how to bring them into the world.
Now what?
Maybe you're building your own coaching practice and figuring out how to describe what you do, who you want to work with and how to find clients.
Maybe you're bringing Co-Active coaching into an existing profession, leadership role or organization and want to explore what that can look like.
Or perhaps you're discovering that becoming a coach has changed the way you see yourself and what's possible in your life, and you want to keep exploring.
You don't have to figure it all out on your own.
I love partnering with coaches as they move beyond the structure of certification and begin making the work truly their own.
Together, we can explore your evolving identity as a coach, your confidence and presence, the opportunities you want to create, and the challenges that arise along the way.
We can also work on the practical aspects of bringing your coaching into the world, including business development, clarifying your ideal clients, finding language that authentically communicates your work, and making choices about how you want to grow your practice. A lot of HR professionals and consultants bring their Co-Active skills into their work, and need support to figure out how to blend their new skills with what’s expected of them in their roles.
And because I take a whole-person approach, our work is never limited to your professional development. Your life, relationships, values, dreams and wellbeing matter too.
As coaches, we spend so much of our time holding space for other people. There's something deeply valuable about having a space where YOU get to be the one who's listened to, supported, challenged and championed.
You are a whole person who coaches, and you deserve your own thought-partnership and safe space to process and be with it all. And all of YOU belongs in the conversation.
Preparing for Certification: Building Confidence and Finding Clients
You're excited about becoming a Co-Active coach. You're learning powerful new skills, imagining what's possible, and beginning to think about how you want to bring coaching into your work and life.
And then comes the question: Where am I going to find people to coach?
Co-Active certification requires you to gain real-world coaching experience with clients. For many aspiring coaches, finding those first clients can feel like a big hurdle.
Who do I want to coach? How do I explain what coaching is and what I offer? How do I invite people into a coaching relationship without feeling awkward or salesy? How do I trust myself enough to get started when I'm still learning? How do I move from practising coaching skills to trusting myself in real coaching relationships?
These are all things we can explore together.
I've supported many coaches in developing the confidence, language and practical strategies to begin building their client relationships and leveraging their existing networks before certification even starts.
We can work on clarifying who you'd love to coach, communicating the value of your work in your own voice, navigating the vulnerability of putting yourself out there, and taking meaningful steps toward finding your first clients.
You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. Sometimes a little support at the beginning can make a big difference in how you step into what's next.
During Certification: Making the Learning Your Own
Co-Active no longer requires certification students to hire their own mentor coach, but they continue to strongly recommend it.
And for good reason.
There is something powerful about learning to be a Co-Active coach while experiencing the transformational impact of being coached yourself by someone who gets and integrates the model.
Certification is a rich and demanding learning experience. It can also stir up self-doubt, perfectionism, imposter feelings, vulnerability and questions about identity and purpose.
You might find yourself so focused on getting the skills and competencies right that you begin to second-guess your own instincts.
Or you may feel boxed in by the structure of the training, wondering how to bring more of your own personality, wisdom and natural strengths into your coaching. You may also enjoy having your own safe space outside of the program, to unpack the feedback you recieve and the experience itself.
This is where having your own coach can make a meaningful difference.
Our work together gives you space to explore what's coming up for you, deepen your self-awareness, build self-trust and integrate what you're learning in ways that feel authentic to YOU.
It's not about becoming a perfect Co-Active coach. It's about becoming the coach only YOU can be.
What can working with your own coach add to your certification experience?
Experience coaching from the client's seat. Feel the impact of being on the receiving end of the Co-Active tools and principles, being deeply listened to, challenged, championed and supported, and bring that understanding into your own coaching relationships.
Navigate the inner challenges of becoming a coach. Explore the self-doubt, perfectionism, vulnerability and growing pains that can arise during certification, rather than allowing them to quietly limit your growth.
Discover your authentic coaching presence. Move beyond feeling ‘scripted’ or confined by the model. Learn to trust your intuition, recognize your strengths, find your language and approach to using the principles and tools with your clients, and bring more of your unique self into your coaching.
Integrate the learning into your whole life. Explore how Co-Active principles can inform your relationships, leadership, decisions and the broader work you do in the world.
Have someone entirely in your corner. Enjoy a confidential coaching partnership where you can bring your questions, challenges, aspirations and discoveries, without being assessed or evaluated.
Why Work With Me?
When I was going through my own Co-Active training, I wanted the model to become part of who I was — to have it in my bones, rather than simply knowing how to apply the skills.
That experience has stayed with me.
As a CPCC and PCC with years of experience coaching, mentoring and supporting Co-Active and ICF-credentialed coaches, I bring both a deep appreciation for the model and a commitment to helping you find your own way of expressing it.
I believe you are naturally creative, resourceful and whole. My role isn't to tell you how to be a coach. It's to partner with you as you discover more of who you are, what you're capable of and how you want to make your unique contribution.
Whether you're in the middle of certification or have been coaching for years, I'd love to explore how I can support you.
Let's Connect
There are different ways we can work together, depending on where you are in your coaching journey and what kind of support you're looking for.
I offer private coaching packages and flexible payment arrangements.
Let's have a conversation about where you are, what you're navigating and what might serve you best.
Client Testimonials:
Having experienced coaching by you was some of the most transformative learning I did during the program. You were a great model and if I had not felt the effects of coaching myself, I don’t think I would recognize resonance as well in my own clients. It really shaped my learning and helped deepen it.
— Terah Bozarth, HR Consultant & CPCC Coach, Chicago, IL
As a coach in certification, I wanted someone who would be able to help me get the most out of the certification program while also coaching me on whatever was coming up for me in my life. Jenny was just that person for me. She really helped me see possibilities when I saw an insurmountable climb.
If I ever had any question between my coaching sessions, her responses were detailed and full of care for and confidence in me. One of the most important elements of coaching is the ability of the coach to hold the client as a naturally creative, resourceful and whole person. Jenny had this in spades. I always felt like I could bring anything to our sessions, and every session got me to a place of new learning and awareness. Thank you, Jenny!
— M. H, New York, USA
After working with Jenny for 6 months I have experienced vast and deep internal growth. As a result of our work together, I regained my self-esteem and self-worth! How invaluable is that! I reconnected with my whole self. I now embrace my greatness and imperfections, which feels very liberating. I now know that it is OKAY to like myself.
We have worked on multiple aspects from my confidence and self-awareness, to discovering my gifts and life purpose, to launching my business and setting healthy boundaries at work. After every session, I felt inspired, relieved, energized, and had amazing insights to reflect on until our next meeting.
As a people person, what I value the most in relationships is sincerity and genuine connection. That is exactly what I received working with Jenny. She has warmth, kindness, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to inspire you to move forward with lightness in your heart. Jenny's unique style of coaching coupled with her vibrant personality, is what makes her an exceptionally gifted coach. Jenny is a joy to work with and I recommend her wholeheartedly.
— Zarina, HR Professional and Coach, Ottawa, ON
Jenny is a very aware coach who supports you with finding and dissolving limiting beliefs in order to reach for your goals. She empowers in a way that leaves you energized and ready to fight for your dreams. She challenged me in my assumptions, always keeping my values and innate drivers in mind.
— Marc Berghoff, Personal Development Coach & HR-Consultant, Malta
I started working with Jenny during Certification with CTI and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience! Right from day one I had complete confidence in her knowledge and expertise. Trust was established instantly and I felt so comfortable to be truly in the moment when being coached by her.
As a first-time coachee in a formal sense, I was so pleased at how each session built upon the last, and Jenny was able to draw on nuggets of insight along the way. I so appreciated the check-ins to re-design our alliance when something seemed ‘off’, the powerful inquiries, and the tough love that I eventually asked for!
Jenny is insightful, wise, curious, and uses embodiment courageously, which was initially outside of my comfort zone and she helped me see the value and impact to be had.
Whether you are looking for your first coach, or another coach to complement your previous experience, Jenny will see you, will hear you, and will support you to see and hear yourself, all in service to YOU.
Thank you for the priceless impact you have had on me during this period of transition in my life. I feel much more equipped to journey forward!
— J. Hynes, Toronto, ON
I am so grateful I found Jenny–working with her has been an incredible journey. During a transition phase in my life, I embarked on a new career path. I was full of doubt, worry, and lots of expectations of myself, some reasonable and others not so much. With each step, Jenny invited me to tune in and listen to my inner knowing and instincts and embrace the most authentic, best version of myself. With her help, I honed the ability to recognize, handle, and keep in check the defeating thoughts, judgments, and self-criticisms that held me back.
Each session was a different adventure, and I knew I could rely on Jenny to meet me wherever I was in the moment, bringing kindness, humor, insight, intuition, and a keen ability to capture and reflect the powerful learning that came from our interactions.
Because of my work with Jenny, I feel like I am finally breaking out of old patterns and stories, reconnecting with joy, and welcoming new experiences with confidence, clarity, and grace.
— C.M, Colorado, USA
Initially, I doubted the necessity of hiring a coach as one of the requirements of CTI’s coaching certification program. I was resistant to spending the money and couldn’t see the point, I believed I was capable of doing it on my own. I can’t even begin to describe how wrong I was and how magical of an experience it has been to have Jenny by my side, genuinely supporting me, mentoring me, gently pushing me forward, and AUTHENTICALLY trusting me and my abilities to become the best coach I can be.
I come from a country where unfortunately the coaching profession has gained a bad reputation due to malpractice, so although I intuitively felt that coaching was the right profession for me, it wasn’t until I experienced the relationship with Jenny that I came to truly believe in the profession - and how could I ever become a great coach if I didn’t experience for myself the transformational and magical power of a coaching relationship?
Her presence, her genuine care, her commitment to me and what is important to me has enabled my personal growth at an incredibly accelerated pace. Besides helping me come out of my shell and continue to find the bravery and resilience to keep moving forward with my coaching practice, she has also been an essential element in dissolving my harmful relationship patterns.
At times I can feel so ugly from my reactive inner child patterns, and yet, Jenny brings in a light, helps me see through the fog, helps me feel compassion towards myself first so that I can actually get in touch with the wisdom that is hidden in my pain.
Being able to grow and move forward in my life this fast wouldn’t have been possible without Jenny and I can’t wait to continue our work together!
